Gaming headset manufacturer Turtle Beach has signed a sponsorship agreement with Gfinity to become the official audio partner for the Gfinity Elite Series throughout 2018, beginning with immediate effect and continuing through to Season 4 in late 2018.
As part of this deal, all players in the Elite Series will wear Turtle Beach Elite Pro headsets to enhance their experience and performance at the Gfinity Esports Arena. The Turtle Beach Elite Pro headset is designed for professional athletes and aims to revolutionise gaming with Turtle Beach’s ComforTec™ Fit System.
DC “Infexious” Coleman, an esports professional for exceL Esports, said:
“Turtle Beach is a renowned leader in gaming headsets, and the Elite Pro includes features that matter to us and enhance our performance. We can personalise our headsets which is essential for comfort and gives us all the added advantage of staying cool under pressure, ultimately giving us more control and fine tuning our game.”
“We are delighted to announce Turtle Beach as a commercial partner for our Elite Series during 2018,” said Neville Upton, Chief Executive of Gfinity. “They are the preferred choice for both aspiring players who wish to take their gaming to the next level through to the pro gamers competing at the very top.”
In addition to Elite Series players using Turtle Beach headsets while competing, Turtle Beach will also receive several sponsorship rights related to the Elite Series. These include in-show broadcast integration with product placement and caster endorsements, social media content and advertisements during the gameplay sections in the weekly Gfinity-produced FIFA 18 show “GAME-ON”.
“We aim to support esports at every level, from grassroots to pro players, and this is a core value shared by Gfinity and the Elite Series, so this partnership is a perfect match,” said Julian Woods, Managing Director of Turtle Beach EU. “Audio is a crucial element for esports, and we’re extremely happy to deliver the best possible experience for the Elite Series competitors.”
