Williams Esports & Porsche24 Redline dominate first-ever round of V10 R-League

The first-ever round of the new sim racing competition, the V10 R-League – a collaboration between Gfinity and Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) – was dominated by Williams Esports and Porsche24 Redline as the professional racers took on the iconic Monza track, in an exclusively designed V10 car featuring in the leading sim racing game Assetto Corsa.

Going head-to head in three race challenges, across four ‘matches’, were Red Bull Racing Esports
versus Team Fordzilla, Williams Esports against BWT Racing Point Esports, YAS HEAT paired up to battle with JAESA Team Suzuki, and BMW Motorsport SIM Racing Team competing with Porsche24 Redline.

Williams Esports and Porsche24 Redline won all three of the race challenges against their rivals,
placing them at the top of the V10 R-League standings.

All of the racing from Round 1 is free to view on btsport.com and via the BT Sport App from today (Tuesday 8 September).

Highlights of the second round of the V10 R-League, Brands Hatch, will be broadcast on Monday 14 September at 7pm (UK time) on BT Sport 2, with it all free to view again on btsport.com and via the BT Sport App the following day.

ESPN will be carrying the content across its networks and platforms, with STARZPLAY Arabia coverage also available during Season 1.

Sports presenter Rachel Stringer, British Touring Car Championship driver Nicolas Hamilton and
YouTube star Ben Daly host all of the action weekly from the Gfinity Arena based in London. All V10 R-League drivers compete from home on a full racing rig, ultimately for the £100,000 prize pool.
