Gfinity appointed as production partner for Red Bull Worlds Simplified League of Legends World Final show

Gfinity (AIM: GFIN), a world-leading esports and gaming solutions provider, today announces it has been appointed by Red Bull as the production partner for ‘Red Bull Worlds Simplified’.  Red Bull Worlds Simplified is a new digital show which breaks-down the League of Legends World Championship Final into a format that is accessible to people around the world, including those with no prior knowledge of the game and competition.

The League of Legends World Championship is the annual professional League of Legends championship tournament, hosted by Riot Games.  The final is the culmination of each season, with teams competing for the champion title and multi-million dollar championship prize.  This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the Championship and is expected to be watched by tens of millions of people around the world.

The show will be hosted by esports presenter Frankie Ward, live from the Gfinity Arena in London on 31 October 2020.  Frankie will be joined by recognisable faces from League’s casting talent who will help to break down and explain the key moments of gameplay. The stream will be broadcast across Red Bull’s main Twitch and YouTube channels from 0900 GMT.

Amanda Lawson, Gfinity Global Head of Content said: “With more attention than ever expected on the Worlds Final this year, we are excited to be working with Red Bull to open up the most watched esports event on the planet to a whole new audience, introducing the uninitiated to a fun and informal breakdown of League of Legends.

Increasingly world leading brands are turning to Gfinity to make esports and competitive gaming entertainment shows that tap into a broader mainstream gaming audience. This project sits under our building communities for others strategic pillar, utilising our world class production capabilities. We are looking forward to working with Red Bull on more collaborations in the future”.
