With the addition of EA SPORTS FIFA 18 to Season 3 of the Gfinity Elite Series, seasoned TV and radio presenter Seema Jaswal will be joining returning host Tom Deacon for the live Friday night FIFA 18 broadcasts.
Jaswal’s football-focused career began on CBBC’s Match of the Day Kickabout, with her now hosting two flagships shows, Kick Off and Fan Zone, for the Premier League’s global content production arm which reaches over 700 million homes weekly.
Previously, Jaswal was the lead anchor for the Indian Super League (ISL) and host of Let’s Talk Football for Starts Sports in Mumbai for the 2015-16 season. Jaswal has been recognised by the Asian Football Awards, winning her first media award for hosting live and exclusive coverage of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 for Premier League TV and Sony Pictures Networks India.
In late 2017, Jaswal was the primary host of SPN’s flagship studio show, Football Extraaa, which boasted an impressive line-up of international and national expert panellists including Luis Garcia, Stuart Pearce and David Moyes. Jaswal also served as a co-presenter on Channel 5 show The Wright Stuff before moving to India to take the position as the lead anchor for the ISL as well hosting broadcasts of the UK Snooker Championship on the BBC and working as a reporter for Channel 4’s darts coverage.
Having been featured on ESPN Brasil, TSN and NBC, the Gfinity Elite Series is Jaswal’s first venture into the world of esports, and she is “really excited to be joining the team.”
Season 3 of the Elite Series is set to be the biggest yet, with the inclusion of teams UNILAD Esports, Hashtag United, Ares and Nordavind. FIFA 18 will be broadcast live every Friday for the next eight weeks, beginning on 9th March.
