Overview
Gfinity was appointed by the Premier League to help design and deliver the inaugural ePremier League programme in 2018-2019 which involved all 20 Premier League clubs.
The activation featured players competing to represent their favourite club in an attempt to be crowned the ePL Champion in the Premier League’s esports competition debut.
Our Approach
After designing the bespoke competition website for the programme, powered by the GEP, we operated a FIFA 19 tournament where players competed in ladder-based online qualifiers, offline playoffs at each Club’s home stadium, followed by a live grand finale at the Gfinity Arena in London, UK in March 2019.
Following the success of the inaugural season, Gfinity was re-appointed to produce the second season of the competition.
In 2020, Gfinity was charged with expanding the ePL online qualifiers to the USA on behalf of NBC Sports.

Our Approach Continue
More recently, as the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the postponement of the second ePL season’s Live Finals, Gfinity helped design and deliver two Invitational FIFA 20 tournaments featuring first team footballers and celebrities in conjunction with the Premier League and Sky Sports.
